Cosquin folk festival- Cordoba

Back to the map, these photos are from the valley of Cosquin in the region of Cordoba where every January there is a folk festival. For this one week a year this tiny town gets bombared with folk artists and fans from all over the country. There is camping in every garden, every patch of land possible and the campsites are, to say the least, cramped.... oh, and of course in true festival spirit, it rained heavily the whole time we were there.
Luckily due to the overcrowdedness of the parilla in the shared bbq area (quincho) we found a local expert to share dinner duties with
Not making friends was virtually impossible
Listening to the guitar music coming from the other side of the river, and every other side of the town
The rain didnt stop us from watching the acts
It didnt stop the large crowds either .....
Or the artists ...
Walking back beside the clouds, to the wet campsite at 7am
Guided walk in the mountains, which included a scary impomptu swim across the top of a resevoir with the strongest current I've ever swam in..... it's a good thing there are no safety standards for these things out here!
