My first few days in Bariloche, Patagonia

This is my new friend Jasmin who creeps into my bed at night.

I am living in a place called Bariloche which is in the National Park Nahuel Huapi. The Nahuel Huapi glacier lake is very prominent here. I dont think I'll ever get tired of taking photos of the amazing snow covered mountains....

On my first morning here I opened my bedroom curtains and discovered I had a terrace...with a boxer wearing a rugby shirt.... hmmm
View from the living room of the house.
This is part of my walk home from town. I just cant stop looking at those mountains. The photos really dont do them justice.
There are many pleasant walks by the lake to be had. Many people sit on these great stone walls and enjoy the views...
I cant remember what these birds are called, but the are really funny looking. Like cartoon characters.
The light here is incredible. The skies are like paintings.
June is a very quiet month here. Not quite ski season, and certainly not summer... Some parts of the town do have a ghost town feel to them.
Tibu, the boxer, gets very cold and hides in his house.

Wow .. que hermoso esta por alla!

Reminded me of Norway - especially the empty town and the temptation to just sit and look at the view.

Thanks for sharing!
